BSI: Blogger Secret Ingredient

What?? A double post from Jenn?!?! Yes, I've double posted. But with good intention. Sophia from Burp and Slurp passed the torch onto me to host this week's BSI (Blogger Secret Ingredient). I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I've put a history list of the BSI ingredients near the bottom, if you're wondering what they've been thus far. Let's cut to the chase and get right to it because I know you're all anxious as to what this week's ingredient is.

But first, the "how-to" of BSI:

*Make or create a recipe that uses the chosen ingredient by Sunday night (June 7th, 2009).

*Post about it and link back to me. If you don’t have a blog, you may email me at jenn@jenniferrazon.com with your recipe.

*Comment on this post so I know that you've entered.

*Most importantly...have fun.

So without further adu, let me introduce this week's secret ingredient:

(*insert Iron Chef dramatic music here*)

BELL PEPPER

(The pic above is courtesy of whoever posted it on wikipedia.)

Insert extreme close-up shots of those who will be participating. Which would be all of you reading this, right? RIGHT?

I've used these tasty veggies in a few recipes already like kabob skewers in my Pinoy Style BBQ, veggie stir fry in some Teryiaki Glazed Chicken Tacos, & the Chinese dish Sweet & Sour "See"-Food. There's so many amazing and incredibly creative cooks out there that I'm always amazed with they come up with. Winner will be announced next Monday (June 8th, 2009) as well as who will be the host of the next week. Get crack-a-lackin'!!

So now you brave beautiful world, with an open heart and an empty stomach, I say unto you in the words of the guy who plays the chairman on Iron Chef America, who I remember being in the movie Double Dragon with Scott Wolf (that guy from Party of Five): Allez cuisine!
