Tuna Avocado Dip
I can imagine your faces are you ponder the title of this post. Tuna avocado...WHAT?! Yes...and it's really good. Not a strong tuna taste or aroma. Surprisingly, avocado is a nice substitute to mayo.
You can replace tuna with your prefer "meat" like chicken or some of the kind of seafood.
Tuna Avocado Dip
1 can tuna in oil
1 medium ripe avocado (pitted and lightly mashed)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
salt & pepper to season
Drain the tuna of most, but not all, of the oil. Mix all ingredients together.
Serve with slices of french bread or crackers. You can even spread this on a sandwich.

you know avocado as an emulsifier is used more and more....I love both tuna and avocado and I finally got some nice avocados...I think I see lunch developing...
Both Tuna and Avocado are my favourite ingredients, will definitely give this dip a try, thank you very much for sharing, Jenn!!
You are so creative - I would never have thought to put tuna and avocado together. Great photo.
Very unusual combo-love avocado and tuna, but would never have dreamt of combining the two :)
Love the two together. I have been craving avocado something bad today! This looks great!
Looks delicious!
Yes, that is an unusual combination. The mix sounds interesting for a nice buttery cracker. Might as well use a fat that's good for you instead of mayo.
I'm having this for lunch tomorrow, AWESOME idea!
Oh - that looks really good to me! I don't like mayo, so this has to go on the to-make list for this summer. I'll definitely have to give it a try!
I'm a tuna guy, so I'm curious about this.
Oh this looks fantastic! I love avocado and it sounds delicious with tuna. I think chicken would be great, too!
That sounds pretty good, really. I like tuna and avocado wraps, so this dip is not outside the realm of reality. Pretty pics!
doggy: Really? I think it's great. why haven't I done this before.
Kenny: Thanks.
Pam: It just occured to me. Experimentation gone right, I guess.
Sweta: It's a odd duo, but sometimes odd things go well together.
Reeni: Why not try this? hehehe...=)
Dana: Thanks.
Duo Dishes: right? good fat vs. bad fat. Which would you choose.
Teresa: Enjoy!
McTatty: There you go. An alternative to mayo in a tuna salad.
Justin: I think You'll like it.
Jen: Chicken would definitely go great with this.
Kelly: I like both in wraps, too.
I'm loving the mayo substitute.
Eric

eric: avocado is the new mayo!
lisaiscooking: This definitely would go well a veggie platter.

Love tuna, love avocado... love this!
love it in the UK we eat tuna and sweetcorn and mayo with baked potato
I love avocado...but I did make that "hmmmm" face when I read the title, LOL! Sounds delicious and I would definitely go for it! :P
Debbie: It is a great combo.
Sophie, Diana: Thanks.
Chow and Chatter: Tuna and sweetcorn? That's new too me. It just so happens that I have some sweet corn in the cupboard.
girlichef: Got you to do the "hmmm" face. Sweet! lol.
That person whose face you were imagining as he or she read the title of your post was apparently mine! Wow, what a surprising combination. But as I think about it, it sounds really good, and not strange at all!
sapuche: After it sinks in a bit, it doesn't become as weird sounding.
green tuna, eh? that puts a whole different spin on boring old tuna salad! I'm not much of an avocado fan, but I imagine mixed with tuna, the blandness of avocado that I hate won't be there! I think I'm really going to try this combo sometime!
Interesting combination - I love both so I'm definitely giving it a try! Thanks!
burpandslurp: at least it's a change from the brown tuna color. lol
5 Star Foodie: Anytime!
Yay! I just bought avocado today on a whim - didn't have any plans for it until now. 8-)
Tangled Noodle: Nice!
